Many of our clients wonder whether they should opt for eyelash extensions or get the lash lift and tint.
Let’s look at the differences between the two procedures.
Eyelash extensions are another very popular method to achieve thicker eyelashes. During this procedure, our lash stylists will first assess and evaluate your lash needs and requirements and hand glue our special hand-crafted lash extensions on top of your natural eyelashes.
To add maximum volume and length, 80 to 120 eyelash extensions are applied per eye, and this is the perfect enhancement procedure for adding more depth and dimension to your eyes.
A lash lift and tint procedure is much simpler than eyelash extensions. This beauty treatment is quick and requires minimal maintenance, and can make your lashes look naturally thicker and longer.
Here is a quick look at the procedure.
The Initial Consultation and Evaluation
When you first arrive at our lash salon, we will take the time to develop an in-depth understanding of your lash needs and requirements. We will assess your eye shape and find the best lash treatment to accentuate and enhance your beautiful natural facial features.
Our stylists will let you know about all the risks and the chances of irritation if your lashes aren’t properly taken care of after the procedure.
Feel free to talk to us about any concerns that you might have. Our lash artists will be more than happy to provide you with any required information.
Prepping the Eyes
The next step is to clean and prep the eyes for the treatment.
We want to ensure that we work on clean skin without skincare products or makeup. This is why we will use a chemical-free high-quality cleanser to wipe down your skin and remove any dirt, germs, or makeup since all of these can impede the lash lifting procedure.
We suggest you arrive at your lash lift and tint appointment bare-faced. This will make it much easier for our lash artists to begin the treatment!
Placing the Cotton Pads
We’ll begin the procedure once we’ve cleansed your skin.
Our stylists will take a few cotton pads and gently place them over your lower eyelids, ensuring they’re smoothened out so they’re lying flat on the skin. Once your lower lashes and completely covered, they will move on to the upper eyelids.
Now our professional lash artists will use special lash lift shields, silicon pads, and rods that have been specifically designed to fit the upper eyelids. They will gently lift the upper eyelids and place the pads over them.
Many of our clients get nervous during this process since we will be operating and working so close to your eyes. Let us assure you that our lash stylists have unparalleled expertise and will make sure you feel comfortable and safe during the entire process. You can rely on us for all of your lash needs and requirements!
Applying the Lash Adhesive
The next step is to apply the lash adhesive. We will use an applicator or a small brush to gently coat the eyelashes with a premium-quality bonding solution. The lash lift adhesive or the bonding solutions will give your eyelashes that boost that we need to achieve.
Once the adhesive has been applied, the lashes are gently pushed against the silicon pads until they are lying flat on the silicon pads. They need to adhere fully to the pads before we can proceed.
We might repeat this process if your eyelashes are thicker and longer.
Our lash artists will also check if there are any clumps or if the lashes are sticking together. There needs to be proper spacing between the lashes without clump formation.
Will apply more bonding solutions in case we need to fill in any gaps for a more cohesive and natural look.
The Lotions
Now we need to apply special lash lotions for the lift and curl. One of the lotions is applied to cover around two-thirds of the lash length, and the tips are avoided. The lotion is then allowed to process over the lashes. This can take around 9 to 14 minutes.
The lotion will not come in contact with your eyes.
Removing the Silicon Pads
Once the lotions have set in and we have achieved the desired lash length and curl, it’s time to remove the silicon pads. We use a small brush to gently lift your new lashes from the silicon pads and remove them.
The Lash Tint
The final step is applying the lash tint. Giving special attention to the base of the lashes, we coat the lashes with the tint and make sure each lash gets a consistent layer of color.
The tint is wiped off Using cotton pads, and there you go! You have gorgeous new eyelashes that look darker, longer, and curlier.
