Everything you need to know about Lash Extensions - FAQ

What are eyelash extensions?

Synthetic strands are attached to each of your natural lashes called lash extensions. They feel like regular eyelashes but enhance what you have, giving you a fuller and more extended look.

What lash extensions do you use?

After 4-months of research, development, and production, we worked directly with a world-leading manufacturer. To increase the quality of our lash extensions, we concentrated on four areas: weight, adhesion, variety, and application convenience.

How long does lash extensions last?

The lifespan of your eyelash extensions is directly influenced by the natural development cycle of your lashes. Refills should be needed every 2 to 3 weeks, depending on your daily facial washing routine and level of physical activity.

Our new lashes are lighter, adhere better, last longer, come in more varieties, and are easier to work with. We only use High-quality Lash Extensions in our services. They are available in various styles, allowing guests to tailor their look to their eye shape and personal preferences.

  • Curl: C, CC, D
  • Diameters: 0.03, 0.07, 0.15, 0.20
  • Lengths: 8mm to 15mm

Is it still necessary to wear mascara?

When you add extensions to your natural lashes, they are lifted to the point where mascara is no longer necessary. A water-based mascara can be employed for individuals who want a little extra lift.

Is it necessary for me to quit exercising after getting eyelash extensions?

The initial 48 hours following the application of eyelash extensions are crucial. We ask that you refrain from participating in sports or recreational activities that cause you to sweat, especially those in hot weather. Swimming, showering, visits to spas and saunas, and tanning are just a few examples. You can resume your routine after the first 48 hours since the lash adhesive will be completely secure. However, high-temperature and high-humidity saunas should be avoided since they can prematurely loosen the adhesive bond.

Everything you need to know about Lash Extensions - FAQ 3

After getting eyelash extensions, when can I wash my face?

It’s best to wait 48 hours before washing your face and soaking your eyelash extensions. That time is required for the lash adhesive to form a strong bond.

How should I take care of my eyelash extensions?

For more information on eyelash extension aftercare, please go to our post or call us at 470-592-3355

Are your eyelash extensions permitted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)?

The FDA does not oversee the eyelash extension industry because they are not applied to the skin (just to the natural eyelashes). However, we place a high priority on health and safety. Only highly trained and licensed Lash Stylists are allowed to deal with our clients, and we only use lashes produced in collaboration with a world-leading manufacturer.

What is the duration of your eyelash extension appointments?

Full Set appointments can last anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on your style. Every 2-3 weeks, bi-weekly refills take 60 minutes.

How do I know which lashes will look best on me?

Our Master Lash Stylist can help you choose the perfect style for your eyes based on the form of your eyes and face, whether you’re searching for something spectacular for a special occasion or just for fun daily.

What happens if I lose my eyelash extensions?

Your natural lash growth and how good you care for them are directly related to the longevity of your lash extensions. We include a FREE 30-minute touch-up session with full sets that must be used within the first four days of getting the lashes. This check-up allows us to assess how well the lashes have adhered and held up in the first few days and address any concerns that may have arisen. If you have had an unexpected quantity of fallout in the first three days after your refill and have followed our aftercare protocols and still do not get the optimum result, please call so we may schedule you for an immediate consultation and repair at no charge.

How often do you encounter adhesive reactions?

Although allergic reactions to lash extensions are uncommon, they do occur. Redness, swelling on the lid, and itching are common indications of a response that develops within the first 72 hours after service. The severity of the reaction varies dramatically, ranging from slight itching to swelling, discomfort, and redness. It can be highly unpleasant, and if you have previously responded to eyelash extensions, you are very likely to do so again.

What causes adhesive reactions?

Allergic reactions to lash extensions are caused by an allergy to the main ingredient in the eyelash extension glue called cyanoacrylate. It’s in every eyelash extension adhesive, and it’s caused by the glue’s fumes, not by the bond coming into contact with your skin (because at good lash salons, the glue should never touch your skin).

MYTH: Eyelash extensions induce reactions because the glue contains formaldehyde. This isn’t correct. We always use the highest-quality adhesives that dry quickly and emit few fumes. Cyanoacrylate and Black Pigment are the only two components.

Can you do a Lash Test to see if I will react?

Yes, we can certainly try; however, some clients will not react to the patch test, but once the extensions are applied, they can still respond once a complete set of lashes has been used.

Can I get a refund if I have an allergic reaction?

Guests understand and consent that there are risks associated with having artificial eyelashes on rare occasions and that eye or skin irritation and discomfort may occur in rare circumstances. We guarantee our eyelash extension applications and always stand behind our work. However, guests understand that as an allergic reaction is out of Lash Beauty Bars’ control, they will not receive a full refund on their Full Set should they have a response.

What is the minimum age you will provide services to?

Should the parent agree and be present, we can provide lash lifts, extensions, or any other beauty service (excluding Permanent Makeup) to 16 yrs old and above guests.
